Well as of 5am the water level is at 21.4 ft. We need it to go down another six to seven ft. The Volunteer fire fighters and the school kids did an awesome job! They sandbagged like crazy. The National Guard is doing an awesome job as well. The last two weeks has been hard for a lot of people. Those that brought in food to the fire hall and the emergency center are awesome too.
It is amazing to see people come together and help each other out. Without the Fire fighters and school kids this town would have been under water from the beginning. The National Guard is doing an awesome job with the dike.
I am on my days off starting now. I will be back to work on Friday and will be covering the whole weekend. Unless something happens and I get called out, but I am praying that won't happen.

Know who else did an awesome job during the emergency? The police officers that worked long hours for many days in a row with no days off. One I know worked 12 nights in a row.

It really is cool to see everyone work together to protect their communities.
That is great. How is the flooded situation working out now? I hope everything is clear now. I mean I know that it is cool to see everyone working together, but it is also cool for the everything to go back to normal, whatever that is.
Time to start blogging again my friend.
