Ironic

I was working on a pc last night. I put a new motherboard, processor and ram inside it. I had to load windows from scratch. I got everything loaded and updated and all that fun stuff. I was ready to transfer emails, address book, favorites and you name it.

I had previously hooked up the person's old hard drive to my computer and shared it so I could transfer all of the stuff plus more mentioned above over the network. Well low and behold guess what happens. My computer decides to take a big fat dumparoonie. That is right, it decided to lay a big fat brown hotdog, it decided to drop the kids off at the pool and whatever other saying you can come up with about taking a big fat dump on me.

The stupid motherboard died. That wouldn't have been so bad, if the stupid computer hadn't corrupted the info that I needed to transfer. So now all of her address, emails, favorites and whatever else I would have transfered...GONE. Man did I feel like crap when I had to tell her that. I feel really bad. I knew I should have followed my instincts and copies that stuff over right away. BAH!!

So last night, I odered some new parts for my computer, and I also ordered some parts for my wife's computer. Now when I am done she will have a faster computer. Unlike the one that I am using now that is slow. It wasn't this slow before, but I think after service pack 3 installed it slowed down quite a bit. But I digress. Anyways, those parts should be coming next week sometime.

I still love working on computers, but when crap like that happens it sucks. I think I am going to buy some imaging software and image drives before I do anything. That is what I used to do when I worked on PCs everyday. That way if something stupid happens I at least have the data.

Lesson learned again.

That sucks man. I hate it when that happens. And yes, it has happened. But people usually get over it.
