I have accepted a position as a Deputy with the Sheriff's Office. We won't have to move or sell our house. Holly and I are both excited about it. It is better pay, more area to patrol...A LOT MORE AREA...heheh
I am looking forward to working in the Sheriff's Office. I start the new position in two weeks and probably start riding along before then. It just depends on when the Sheriff wants me to do.

Dead Colt
No the title isn't referring to a dead baby horse. We brought Simba (dog) to the beach. It is called Dead Colt Creek Recreation Area. Pretty cool area. Simba enjoyed swimming in the water while fetching the ball we were throwing for him.
It was very nice out, even though it rained a little for a few minutes. Thanks to the no trees in north dakota the wind pushed those rain clouds by in no time at all...heheh
Now I can't wait to eat the lasagna that my wonderful wife is making. It is spinach lasagna and from the sound she is making it sounds like it will be very delicious.
Now we are going to watch a movie. Not sure which one yet.

Hey
Been awhile since I posted last. I just hadn't felt like posting for awhile, but I will try to start up again. I miss seeing what everyone is up to. I have been using facebook lately. I hate to admit that the site is very hand for stuff and keeping in contact with friends and such.
We have been repainting the kitchen cupboards. It looks really good. I will take a picture when they get closer to be done.
Other than that I have just been working and spending time with my Wife. The animals have been doing good. Monkey is getting a lot bigger. In fact he is bigger than the other two cats already. I will try and post a pic or two.
I guess that is all for now.

Flooding
Well as of 5am the water level is at 21.4 ft. We need it to go down another six to seven ft. The Volunteer fire fighters and the school kids did an awesome job! They sandbagged like crazy. The National Guard is doing an awesome job as well. The last two weeks has been hard for a lot of people. Those that brought in food to the fire hall and the emergency center are awesome too.
It is amazing to see people come together and help each other out. Without the Fire fighters and school kids this town would have been under water from the beginning. The National Guard is doing an awesome job with the dike.
I am on my days off starting now. I will be back to work on Friday and will be covering the whole weekend. Unless something happens and I get called out, but I am praying that won't happen.
I hope everyone is doing good!

More Snow
Wonderful, more snow.
The only good thing about the snow is that hopefully it will help with all the flooding and allow the waters to go down. Other than that...
Wonderful, more snow.
